After much consideration, EWC management has reluctantly made the decision to postpone this summer’s 60th anniversary international alumni conference.

The East-West Center/East-West Center Association (EWC/EWCA) International Conference originally scheduled for June 30 to July 2, 2020, in Honolulu is being postponed due to growing global concern over the COVID-19 outbreak. Given the uncertainty and rapidly changing environment as well as concern for the health and safety of alumni and Hawaii residents, the East-West Center will reschedule the conference to the summer of 2021.

The EWC has decided to postpone the conference at this time to minimize hardship or inconvenience of alumni who have already registered for the conference and are beginning to make their travel arrangements. Postponing the conference was a difficult decision for East-West Center management to make. Staff and alumni have been planning and working on the conference since in August 2018 but will now redirect their focus to planning for a memorable conference in 2021.
