  • WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 11, 2013) -- The East-West Center has announced the appointment of three scholars to the 2013 Japan Studies Fellowship at the East-West Center in Washington: Sean Connell, Ian Rinehart and Rikako Watai. Made possible by the Center for Global Partnership at the Japan Foundation, the fellowship provides residence of three or six months at the East-West Center in Washington to fellows who will conduct research on key issues of relevance to the U.S.-Japan partnership, including in the diplomatic, security and economic fields.
