Ambassador James F. Moriarty was a United States diplomat and career foreign service officer. He served as the U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh from 2008-2011 and prior to this assignment, Ambassador Moriarty was the U.S. Ambassador to Nepal from 2004-2007. Among his many assignments, he also served as Special Assistant ot he President of the United States and was Senior Director at the National Security Council.
Ambassador Moriarty has been at the Center previously as a Diplomat-in-Residence from 1993-1994.
