Research Interests: 

Dr. Breazeale’s current research interests include the history of mainland Southeast Asia in the sixteenth century (with a particular focus on warfare), the economic, diplomatic and missionary history of Thailand, and the history of the Tai-speaking areas of Burma, Cambodia, Laos and the Sipsong Panna of Yunnan Province in China.

At the East-West Center Dr. Breazeale coordinates international conferences and edits the joint Korea Development Institute and East-West Center Series on Economic Policy published by Edward Elgar Publishing Limited.
