Professor Petri specializes in international trade, finance, investment and
economic integration, with emphasis on East Asia. A member of the Brandeis
Economics Department since 1974, he served as the founding dean of the Brandeis
International Business School (1994-2006). He is a Senior Fellow of the
East-West Center and has consulted for the World Bank, OECD, the United Nations,
the Asian Development Bank and other public and private organizations. His AB
and PhD degrees are from Harvard University.
