The cost for attending the conference may be less than you expect. For example, alumni from the mainland US can purchase packages which include airfare and hotel room for less than $2,000 (http://asianaffairholidays.blogspot.com/). Alumni in Hawaii can fly roundtrip to Bali for under $1,500. Check with your local travel agent or browse the internet for specials and deals that may be available from your location.
