2007 USTL FINALIST

East-West Center is pleased to announce that the five finalists for the U.S.—Timor-Leste (USTL) Scholarship Program have been selected.  A press conference was held at the U.S. Embassy in Dili on Dec. 5, 2007 to announce the finalists’ names:

The USTL Scholarship received many applications this year, and the East-West Center would like to congratulate all five finalists and wish them well as they begin their studies in the United States in January 2008.

The next round of competition will be held beginning in summer of 2008 for new USTL scholarships that will start in January 2009.

Please return to the USTL website in July of 2008 for the new scholarship announcement and updated, downloadable forms for the application process. 

Hard copy application packets will also be available at the Embassy of the United States of America, Avenida de Portugal, Praia dos Coqueiros, Dili, Timor-Leste.
