A Showcase of Solutions to Local Environmental Problems & Applications in Southeast Asia
Nineteen young environmental leaders, selected by U.S. Embassies in Burma, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand, are concluding their 3-week journey in the Hawaiian Islands in search of solutions to our collective environmental challenges. At this event, they share what they’ve found. How can seawater air-conditioning work for Manila? Can GMO research in Hawaii inform Burma’s new policies? Do green building standards in the US translate for Kuala Lumpur? These young leaders will demonstrate how they’ll take lessons back home to create positive eco-tipping points and fuel green movements in their home communities.
