A technical training workshop providing hands-on training
The primary objectives of this four-day workshop are to provide hands-on training for professionals from different ministries in Pacific Island governments on the use of existing online data access, visualization, and extraction systems, and to raise awareness of the coastal and open ocean datasets and data products being generated in the Pacific Islands region. This technical training workshop on marine data and observations will be the first of its kind in the region.
This workshop is a joint initiative of the South Pacific Sea Level & Climate Monitoring Project (SPSLCMP) and the Pacific Islands Global Ocean Observing System (PI-GOOS).
Mr. Eric Wong, Data Management Specialist in the NOAA IDEA Center, will be the coordinator for the EWC participants.
