ASDP Internet Discussion List

In addition to this world-wide-web site, ASDP maintains a free, on-line internet discussion group, open to all ASDP alumni and other interested teaching faculty in the U.S. and abroad. Daily postings on the list include news from the East-West Center and University of Hawaii, articles about Asian Studies internet resources, calls for papers, conference announcements, and discussions of texts, films and grant opportunities relevant to research on and teaching about Asia. The list is moderated by Ken Harris at Slippery Rock University and David Jones at Kennesaw State University.

If you're interested in subscribing to the list, simply send a brief message from the machine on which you expect to receive mail to:   asdp@uicvm.uic.edu

Be sure to include your name and institutional affiliation. If your e-mail software is case-sensitive, please report that in your message. Once this message has been received, you'll be sent instructions on how to: access the ASDP back files; leave the list temporarily and return after taking a break; send messages, articles, queries and so on.
