Beijing Olympics Marketing Guru Speaks at EWC's Sport Summit

Honolulu (October 1) – The upcoming inaugural East-West Sports Summit hosted by the East-West Center (EWC) and Sports Marketing Japan on November 7-9 will feature China’s leading sports marketing guru, Bin Yuan.  She is the director of marketing for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and previously served as deputy director of international relations for the Olympic Games.

Yuan’s keynote address will provide a timely update on China’s progress with the Olympic preparations and marketing efforts.  So far they have secured more than 50 commercial sponsors, in addition to the 12 worldwide partners of the International Olympic Committee.

The sports summit will take place at the Imin International Conference Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Designed for sports marketing executives, media professionals, and others working in sports-related enterprises in government, NGO, and business sectors, this conference brings together the industry’s top leaders in the field to discuss the changing dynamics of sports markets in the Asia Pacific region.
