“East-West Views” Blog
The East-West Center’s new blog, “East-West Views,” is up and running at http://forum.eastwestcenter.org
East-West Views was created to spur informal conversation and dialogue among the East-West Center community and others interested in the Asia Pacific region. It’s a way to share work, discoveries and experiences, and to find out what others are up to, in a more personal, relaxed communication format. In addition, East-West Views serves as a portal to other blogs focusing on more specific Center activities, such as the Bangkok Media Conference site and the Alumni Discussion Board.
Visit the blog now to read posts on climate change, unrest in Tibet, rising energy prices, Taiwan’s recent election and more. Among the types of blog entries we’re hoping to see going forward are:
* Notes and “postcards” from the field
* A quick recap/response to a lecture or Brown Bag event
* Photos and video clips from Center-related programs and activities
* Anecdotes of interesting experiences and gatherings
* Links to other relevant Web content
* A brief interview of a visiting fellow or other intriguing person
* Thoughts on a publication
Click here if you’d like to submit an article. But the conversation doesn’t end there. Do you agree, disagree or have other thoughts about what you see on East-West Views? Post a comment (bearing in mind that the blog will be moderated to keep content appropriate) – and let the conversation begin!
