Support the EWCA

Support the EWCA
The East-West Center is unique among international institutions in its focus on community building at the campus level as a stepping-stone to community building at the regional level.

Living and working together, students share an emphasis on the value of international dialogue on critical issues of common concern throughout the Asia Pacific region. Although they each return to their own country and/or community, they take with them international outlooks and bonds that last a lifetime.

YOUR GIFT helps the East-West Center make these transformational educational programs accessible to all qualified students, regardless of their economic resources.

East-West Center Association (EWCA) Alumni Scholarship Fund
The East-West Center Association (EWCA) Alumni Scholarship Fund was established to make East-West Center’s transformational educational programs accessible to all qualified students, regardless of their economic resources.  Scholarships are awarded to graduate degree students based on academic excellence, financial need, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to community service and involvement with EWCA.

Your contributions provide the opportunity for deserving students to become part of the East-West Center experience and help shape the future of an Asia Pacific region undergoing dramatic transformation.

Because a U.S. Congressional appropriation covers most of the Center’s basic operating costs, your contribution goes directly to fund scholarships and other important programs that would not exist without private support.  All gifts, large or small, are important, but your participation is most important of all!

Thanks to the generosity of alumni and community donors, the EWC Association Alumni Scholarship Fund has been able to distribute over $236,000 enabling 83 students from 19 countries participate in EWC education programs. These stand-alone scholarships have helped to increase the number of EWC students, and provided supplemental funding to graduate-degree fellows who need additional support for travel to the Center and for other personal expenses.
