Recent years have seen several cases of global health disaster risks inside and outside Asia. National and regional responses to global health disaster risks in Asia, especially in China and Japan, have highlighted several problems. Mika Shimizu discusses what lessons can be learned from recent global health disaster risks that will better prepare Asia for the future.
