Future Projects

AIJI’s current aim is to move further into regionally-based programs, and to integrate the work undertaken at an in-country level with a wider range of activities that traverse the concerns of the Asia Pacific Region.

We are committed to continuing to foster our relationship with the Working Group for an ASEAN Human Rights Mechanism and to build partnerships with Working Group in-country members. The Asia Pacific region remains one of the few regions without a human rights court, and we hope to continue to support the Working Group as it moves towards the establishment of this and other human rights mechanisms.

AIJI hopes to continue to establish partners in the region with whom it can assist in enacting positive change in the human rights arena.
