Demographic Software Available from the East-West Center
Three sets of programs for demographic analysis are available free of charge from Population and Health Studies at the East-West Center. These are:

1. Programs for Fertility Estimation: Programs for the following fertility estimation methods are included: (1) Brass's P/F ratio method; (2) the parity increment method; (3) Rele's method; (4) Palmore's regression-based method; (5) Gunasekaran and Palmore's regression-based method; and (6) Lee-Jay Cho's own-children method.

2. Programs for Parity Progression Projection: Computer programs are provided for population projections that use parity progression ratios in place of age-specific fertility rates. The methodology was developed by Griffith Feeney.

3. Programs for Consistent Correction: Computer programs are provided for simultaneous and consistent correction of two or three decennial censuses and intercensal births, deaths, and migration. The methodology was developed by Norman Y. Luther.
