Marcia Caldirola is responsible for the cultivation and solicitation of major gift prospects for the East-West Center. Marcia assists the Advancement Director and the President of the East-West Center with strategic planning, implementation and management of fundraising events. She also works with the EWC Foundation to build a base of donor, foundation, and corporate support for the Center.


After graduating from Gonzaga University Marcia established a recruitment company and for six years lived in both Singapore and South Africa and worked throughout Asia and Africa. After returning to the US, Marcia worked as a Director of Development for eight years with the American Red Cross of Santa Monica / Greater L.A. and then for four years with the March of Dimes, Hawaii. Most recently Marcia served as the Director of Development for Advocates for Africa’s Children, a Hawaii-based international nonprofit working with AIDS orphans in Tanzania and Swaziland (eSwatini).


Marcia’s experience in local, national and international markets provides her with a wide network of resources and contacts.  Marcia is mom to two wonderful daughters adopted from China.
