Matthew K. Sullivan is a Projects Coordinator at the East-West Center in Washington. He is also a Master’s candidate at Georgetown Walsh School of Foreign Service, Asian Studies Program where he focuses on security and defense issues in Northeast Asia, as well as coursework in Mandarin Chinese.

Matt has also spent significant time and energy analyzing security and economic issues in East Asia outside of Georgetown. This includes working at the Simon Chair of Political Economy at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Armitage International LC, and the National Defense University. Matt received his BA from Luther College. He was adopted from Suwon, Gyeong-gi, Republic of Korea and grew up in Decorah, Iowa.
