Noreen Tanouye manages contact and communication with over 68,000 EWC Alumni and Associates and helps to keep them engaged with the EWC.  Former students, scholars, and professional associates from more than 166 countries make up the alumni community.  She oversees 53 volunteer alumni chapters and every two years, she coordinates an EWC/EWCA International Alumni Conference with an alumni chapter selected to host the conference in their country.

She is also the Executive Director of the East-West Center Association (EWCA), an international network of professionals who have a past affiliation with the EWC. Collectively, EWCA members contribute to global understanding and building an Asia Pacific community.

In addition, she oversees the Mentoring Program for EWC students. The Mentoring Program links EWC students with local alumni and community leaders for professional and personal development.

Prior to the Alumni Coordinator position, she worked as an Alumni Assistant and in the Program on Population as a Project Assistant and a Fiscal Assistant.
