Hawaii Imin International Conference Center at Jefferson Hall Hawaii Imin International Conference Center at Jefferson Hall

The Imin International Conference Center was established in Jefferson Hall in 1985 through contributions from individuals and groups in Hawaii and Japan in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Hawai‘i's first Japanese contract workers (imin).

With 12 meeting rooms, a large auditorium, a business center, and spacious lānai, Imin can accommodate meetings of from 10 to 300 persons, and is equipped for simultaneous translation, teleconferencing, and closed-circuit television.

This building and those forming a semi-circle around it were designed by the internationally recognized architect I. M. Pei, and completed in 1963.
