Christina Monroe is an international leadership educator and program manager with 17 years’ experience working with professionals and students from 50+ countries. She currently directs the Office of Alumni Engagement where she is responsible for developing the network of 68,000 alumni and 53 alumni chapters.
She previously directed the East-West Center Leadership Program which included the Asia Pacific Leadership Program, Pacific Islands Leadership Program, and Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative. She directed 16 Study of the US Institutes for emerging leaders from North and Southeast Asia, Pacific Islands, the Middle East, Brazil and Russia with funding from the US State Department Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Christina is certified in organizational consulting and change leadership from Georgetown University and was a 2018 Australian Government Endeavour Executive Fellow.
Her published chapters and articles include “Prototyping in the anthropocene: a case for optimism from the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative” and “Sustainability Education and Public Diplomacy” in the National Association of Environmental Professionals, Cambridge University Press.
