David Wu has served as a Fellow and Academy Consultative Council Member in the Institute of Ethnology at the Academia Sinica in Taipei; as a professor and anthropology department chair at Hong Kong Chinese University; as an EWC senior research fellow; and as a graduate faculty member at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. He has conducted fieldwork in China, Hawai‘i, Japan, Korea, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, and Taiwan. He holds a PhD in Anthropology from the Australian National University.
