Jim Potenza manages a portfolio of the East-West Center’s cross-departmental grant projects focused on good governance and capacity development in Asia and the Pacific. These include the Best American Stories Evaluation (BASE) Project with the US Department of State, and PROJECT Governance, a partnership with USAID, the Pacific Community (SPC), CARE, and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).

Previously, Jim served as Administrative Officer to the Center’s Research Program. Before that, he managed volunteer programs for the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu, Hawai'i. He holds a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
