
Sara Lam is a program coordinator at the East-West Center where she is responsible for developing, planning, and executing various media and leadership programs, including the Changing Faces Women’s Leadership Seminar, #GalswithLEI, the Korea-US Journalists Exchange, and the Asia Pacific Journalism Fellowship.
Before joining the Center, Sara worked in the Hawaiʻi State House of Representatives; as field organizer for three different political campaigns; and as a program coordinator and English as a Second Language teacher for various non-profits and the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education. Sara holds a master’s degree in East Asian regional studies from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in Asian studies and music from Mount Holyoke College.
