Tracey Omori joined the East-West Center as Chief Operating Officer in February 2023. Tracey has years of executive leadership experience in finance and budgeting, facilities management, human resources, environmental, and logistics. She previously served with the Hawai‘i National Guard, most recently as Chief of the Joint Staff.

Tracey's accomplishments include oversight and staff management of the Hawai‘i National Guard's COVID-19 efforts statewide; providing fiscal support to the State of Hawai‘i Department of Defense's FEMA Public Assistance Grant program (2014-2021), resulting in $6.3M in federal reimbursements; and management of eight Joint Staff divisions. As the Center's Chief Operating Officer, Tracey serves as the President’s primary strategic liaison with the Board of Governors and plays a key role with the Executive Leadership Team with regards to the development, execution, and oversight of the Center's strategic initiatives. She also oversees the Office of Management Operations and its corresponding units, ensuring workflow effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and service efficiency.

A Hilo native, Tracey received her Bachelors in Chemistry from the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo and her Masters degree in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. She is a member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers and the National Guard Association of the United States. Tracey currently resides in Honolulu with her husband (Sean) and daughter (Hudson).
