The East-West Center houses international graduate students and Center program participants year round. A limited number of rooms are available for conference housing with priority given to groups whose objectives and interests complement the East-West Center mission.
Reservations are normally confirmed up to a year in advance.
Eligibility
Conferences/groups eligible for housing must have an educational affiliation/sponsorship. Though many meet at the Center's Hawai'i Imin International Conference Center, this venue is not a requirement.

Meals
A variety of food outlets and cuisines is available on the UH campus, some in campus facilities and others in food trucks. At the Center, coffee and limited food items are available during the school year in front of Burns Hall at the corner of East-West Road and Dole Street. Groceries and additional food outlets are available in Mānoa Marketplace (in the valley north of the Center) and in the commercial center of Mo’ili’ili (the neighborhood south of the Center) along King and Beretania streets.
Deposits, Requester Responsibility, and Penalty
Advance deposits are required. This requirement will be waived if the conference coordinator/requester guarantees in writing payment of possible penalty charges. The conference coordinator/requester is responsible for the conduct of his/her guests as well as any losses, damages, penalty charges, or unpaid room accounts.

Charges will be assessed for group cancellations or any unused rooms according to the following notification schedule:
- 60 days or more--no charge
- 30-59 days--one night’s room charge per room
- less than 30 days--two night’s room charge per room.
Conference coordinators: Inquire about our “call-in” program that permits conference attendees to contact our office directly and arrange their own housing. This program frees the conference coordinator from the administrative and financial responsibilities of managing each attendee’s housing reservation.
