Hale Kuahine principally houses the Center's international residential community of graduate students and professional participants. It is a four-story dormitory, without an elevator. Room are the same as those in Hale Mānoa (whose rooms are used as illustrations here), with single and double options. Some floors are co-ed and some are sex-segregated. The communal kitchen facilities, lounge, and laundry machines are located on the ground floor.
All rooms have telephone service and WiFi. Room cleaning services, bedding/linen, pillows, towels, and soap are not provided. Towel packets are available at the front desk for a nominal cost. Hale Kuahine is not air conditioned.
Meals
Cooking in the dorms should be confined to kitchens (see Resident Code of Conduct). Graduate students have the option (it is not required) of participating in a meal program through UH. A variety of food outlets and cuisines is available on the UH campus, some in campus facilities and others in food trucks. At the Center, coffee and limited food items are available when school is in session in front of Burns Hall at the corner of East-West Road and Dole Street. Groceries and additional food outlets are available in Mānoa Marketplace (in the valley north of the Center) and in the commercial center of Moʻiliʻili (the neighborhood south of the Center), along King and Beretania streets.

Eligible students are East-West Center scholarship recipients and student affiliates only.

All conference housing requests will be accommodated at Lincoln Hall, with priority given to groups whose objectives and interests complement the East-West Center mission
