The East-West Center 18th International Graduate Student Conference on the Asia Pacific region provides graduate students with an opportunity to share interdisciplinary perspectives through presenting and attending panel presentations in a warm and supportive environment. The Conference will provide an opportunity to share interdisciplinary perspectives formally, through presenting research papers and attending other panel presentations, and informally in the warm and encouraging environment of the East-West Center in Hawaii.  The public is invited!

Opening Ceremony:  Thursday, February 14, 2019, 4:30 - 6:30 PM

Sabrina S. McKenna

Sabrina S. McKenna, Justice of Supeme Court of Hawai’i, will deliver the conference’s keynote address  on ‘Gender, Sexuality, and Access to Resources: One  Womxn’s Story’ on Feb. 14 at 4:30 p.m. It will be followed by a panel discussion on the same topic, with panelists: Ms Pamela DeLargy, an advisor for international development initiatives for Arizona State University and worked with UN on issues such as gender, border-control, HIV-prevention to name a few, Ms Ava Ladner who is an instructor at UH and focuses her courses on gender and sexuality, and Ms Crystal Kwok, the moderator for the panel, is one of the founder members of International Women's Group of EWC.
