Will Korea continue the catch-up model, which has enabled the economy to achieve such rapid and successful industrialization and which is still believed to embody the country’s most competitive advantages? What are the factors affecting a firm’s innovation activities? What are the short term and long term policy issues regarding innovation? The EWC-KDI annual project, "Innovation-Driven Economic Growth", will investigate the theoretical and empirical foundations of innovative growth in order to derive evidence-based policy recommendations.
