For the past 15 years the East-West Center Gallery has been under the curatorial direction of Dr. Michael Schuster. The East-West Center Arts Program is holding this symposium to look at its previous collaborations and the successes, innovations, and challenges in presenting Asia Pacific arts to diverse audiences. Exhibition collaborators from the past 15 years will gather to hold discussions that will inform future Arts Programs endeavors. Session formats will include keynote speakers, panel discussions, breakout sessions, and paper or project presentations. Symposium attendance is by invitation only.
This symposium is presented in conjunction with the exhibition entitled “Inside Out: 15 Years of Exhibitions at the East-West Center Gallery,” from May 19 to September 8, 2019.
