The 2019 Asia Pacific Journalism Fellowships, scheduled for March 24 – 30, will take seven print, broadcast and online US journalists to Taipei and Taichung in Taiwan to enhance their understanding of contemporary Taiwan, as well as Taiwan-US relations and Asian issues through dialogue and field study tour. The program in Taiwan will include meetings with government, business, civic, cultural and religious leaders; scholars and students; NGOs; and local journalists and other community members to gain a better understanding of current political, economic, security, social and cultural issues in this country. Past programs have included high-level meetings with the president of Taiwan.
