The Honolulu Museum of Art's Carrying Culture: Micronesia is a three-part series from May 29 to November 27, 2021 highlights poets and poetry as carriers of culture with a focus on Micronesia. 

The series is presented in partnership with the Pacific Islands Development Program (PIDP)

The second event in the series, Carrying Culture: Micronesia - Voice of Our Youth highlights young Micronesian poets and their approach to art.  This event will be moderated by Dr. James Perez Viernes, featuring young and emerging poets including Carol Ann Carl, Resida Keller, and Ifit Hoppe-Cruz.
