Session 3: Creative Learning in Education  

Dr. Peter Leong is an Associate Professor with the Department of Learning Design & Technology (LTEC) where he has worked since 2008. A native of Malaysia, he received his PhD in Communication & Information Sciences from the University of Hawai’I at Manoa. He also holds a MEd degree in Educational Technology and an MS degree in Educational Technology and an MS degree in Travel Industry Management.

Dr. Leong will lead a demo on 3D gamification and virtual worlds, explaining how educators “gamify a course.” He will lead a browser-based, interactive demo, bringing students into a virtual environment to explore game-based learning.
