What:

The Brunei-U.S. English Language Enrichment Project for ASEAN is a partnership between the University of Brunei Darussalam and the East-West Center, sponsored by the Government of Brunei Darussalam, which aims to improve English proficiency and leadership development; build human capacity, and develop knowledge of regional issues and peoples and cultures of ASEAN and people-to-people linkages in the region. Two courses in the 11-Week English Language Program—one for teacher-trainers (TT) and one for officers and diplomats  (OD)—will run simultaneously, beginning at the University of Brunei Darussalam (September 6th to October 24th, 2014), and concluding at the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii (October 25th to November 22nd, 2014). 

Director Terance Bigalke and Dean Mary Hammond of the Education Program will serve as East-West Center coordinators for the U.S. program.
