This four-week Gender-Inclusive Leadership Certificate course will help participants explore individual leadership capacities, and consider leadership as a deeply contextual practice. We will consider some of the barriers that “non-traditional” leaders (inclusive of all genders) may face in the workplace. We will look at some of the research, and consider its implications for us and for our teammates. We will focus on power and influence, and review key capacities like social and emotional intelligence and their connection to effective leadership. Participants will create leadership development and action plans for themselves and/or for their teams.

Who should take this course? This course is designed for anyone, of any gender, interested in exploring the gender disparities in leadership; sharing their own perspectives; and gaining tools to support more inclusive leadership.

The most effective organizations have gender-balanced leadership, yet few organizations do. Why does this happen and what can we do to change this?
