In this workshop, we will ignite an exchange of ideas between Germany and Hawai’i to move towards energy resilience and independence with visionary hydrogen thought leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and researchers from both countries.

  • Identify policy best practices (e.g. efficient planning and approval procedures, uniform standards and certification systems, coordinated efforts at all levels of government)
  • Discuss solutions for possible obstacles (cost, freshwater, geothermal opposition, transportation and storage)
  • Find opportunities for research and development cooperation
