Ms. Petrovich, an 18-year veteran of the U.S. Foreign Service, specializes in consular affairs. Her assignments have included consular, management, political-military affairs, and crisis management work in Manila, Toronto, Karachi and Germany. In Washington, D.C. she has served in the Office of the Under Secretary for Management, the Executive Secretariat’s Office of Crisis Management Support, and the Bureaus of European and Eurasian Affairs and Consular Affairs. The Department of State has recognized her work with several awards, particularly related to managing visa services and services to U.S. citizens overseas. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas and a Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati, where she was a Human Rights Fellow at the Urban Morgan Institute for Human Rights.
