Oceans have long been recognized as a priority policy agenda and the "blue economy" has been promoted as a way to bolster conservation and sustainable use of marine and coastal resources while simultaneously supporting sustainable development, improving livelihoods and empowering local communities. The speakers will address lessons and future prospects for promoting blue economy initiatives, particularly in small island states and communities in the Pacific. 

Registration is free, and the public is welcome. There is no deadline for registering but registration will close when the room capacity of 200 is met.
