Noon Seminar Series

Each participant will discuss the major issues they see facing Papua New Guinea from their perspective. After their presentations there will be short responses from Pacific Island Specialists. The floor will then be open for questions and answers.

Emma ANERE (Papua New Guinea) is a sexual reproductive health (SRH) program manager at Population Services International in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. She has a background in marketing, communications, public relations, and management. She seeks to help transform the livelihoods of women and girls in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region.

Netty DAEMUNA (Papua New Guinea) is a legal officer at Papua New Guinea–Constitutional and Law Reform Commission. While serving as a representative for her office, Ms. Daemuna participated in, facilitated, and presented at summits, conferences, and workshops held in her country and abroad, mainly on matters of law reform, gender, and related matters. 

Nathan Hamaiyo LATI (Papua New Guinea) is a tourism product development officer at the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority. Mr. Lati has a background in business administration, cruise ship shore operations, and migration operations management. Mr. Lati seeks to empower youths, support positive living, and promote youth leadership. He also hopes to encourage positive living by integrating tourism activities at the community level.

Sioni RUMA (Papua New Guinea) is a program manager at the Australian High Commission in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. He is a member of the Papua New Guinea Society of Writers, Editors, and Publishers Ltd. He hopes to contribute to forging institutional and individual relationships to address common issues shared in the region.

Ancitha Motsi SEMOSO (Papua New Guinea) is a research officer with the Autonomous Bougainville Government, Department of Peace Agreement Implementation, the Autonomy Implementation Directorate. She hopes to grow into becoming a more effective leader within her family, community, country, and the Pacific region as a whole. 

Ian Getsi VIORI (Papua New Guinea) is project manager and coordinator for the Bougainville Women’s Federation, Autonomous Bougainville Region. He served in the same role at World Vision Papua New Guinea. Mr. Viori hopes to enhance his own leadership skills during the PILP and to equip others to lead in rapidly changing and globalizing societies.
