Join us for the third and final Sustainability Film Series event with screenings of:


Rise: From One Island To Another, directed by East-West Center alum, Dan Lin. Indigenous poets Kathy Jetñil-Kijiner, also an EWC aluma, from the Marshall Islands, and Aka Niviâna, from Greenland, highlight how climate change links their homelands.


Anote's Ark, directed by Matthieu Rytz. Documents Kiribati President Anote Tong's struggle to protect his people from climate change.


Christina Gerhardt (author of Sea Change: An Atlas of Islands in a Rising Ocean) will introduce the film and a panel discussion will follow the screening to discuss the themes of the film with Dan Lin, Tarawa Tubo, and Alexander Yee. Moderated by Dr. Tammy Tabe, Oceania Research Fellow, East-West Center.
