The East West Center in Washington, along with the US-ASEAN Business Council, the ISEAS Yusof Ishak Institute, the Congressional Singapore Caucus and the Congressional Caucus on ASEAN, held the launch of ASEAN Matters for America / America Matters for ASEAN, a publication and web resource for credible and nonpartisan information, graphics, analysis, and news at the national, state, and local level on U.S.-Southeast Asia interactions at the Capitol Visitor's Center on May 16th.

The event brought together Members of Congress, government officials, business persons, and experts to discuss the partnership between the United States and ASEAN following 40 years of progress towards greater cooperation in matters of diplomacy, defense and security, trade and investment, and education and exchange. The briefing was organized by the East-West Center and US-ASEAN Business Council.
