US-Korea Commercial Relations Beyond Washington and Seoul US-Korea Commercial Relations Beyond Washington and Seoul
Virtual Virtual

This webinar is the culmination of the US-Korea Commercial Relations (USKCR) – Beyond Seoul in Washington initiative. With the support of the US Embassy in Seoul and in partnership with the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), the East-West Center sought to highlight the local impact of US-Korea trade and investment and its value to communities in both nations. To this aim, the East-West Center in Washington brought together a cohort of economic development and commercial affairs specialists from the United States and South Korea for a professional exchange and research program. The USKCR cohort has advanced their research through virtual seminars and in-person workshops in the United States and South Korea, at which they engaged with one another and other professionals involved in US-Korea commerce. At this event, each member of the USKCR cohort will present their research, which endeavors to elucidate “on-the-ground” issues affecting US-Korea commercial relations outside of either nation’s capital. Concurrently, a compilation of the cohort’s cogent and timely research will be released in the USKCR report.
