One out of five Asian Americans in the US is of Filipinx descent, and yet Filipinx Americans are still woefully underrepresented in the media. They are a highly diverse ethnic group across age, gender, race, and cultural and economic backgrounds, with contributions to every aspect of US society. However, stereotypes remain and their stories are easily misrepresented.

In this free, public online discussion, an accomplished panel of journalists and media professionals will discuss how Filipinx media makers can harness the power of storytelling to forge narratives that encompass more of the unique characteristics of the community.
