EWC Research Fellow Dr. Laura Brewington has been appointed to the Invasive Species Advisory Committee (ISAC). Dr. Brewington will be representing Hawaiʻi and the Pacific Islands to the National Invasive Species Council (NISC), the body that coordinates US federal goals and priorities for invasive species. She will serve a two-year term on the committee along with 12 other experts from academia and management.

Dr. Brewington is the Lead Investigator of the Pacific Islands Climate, Health, and Migration project, and the Co-Lead Investigator of the Pacific Research on Island Solutions for Adaptation (RISA) program at the East-West Center.
