The 2021 EWC/EWCA International Conference, Bridge to 2022: Virtual Mini-Conference and Awards was held on July 16-17, 2021 on a dynamic platform that gave it a different look and feel. Our dynamic alumni spoke on today’s core issues: climate change; diversity, equity, and inclusion; misinformation in the media; pandemics and planetary health.
Why was it called a Bridge to 2022? The event bridges us together at a time many of us need it. It bridges us to the 2022 summer in-person EWC/EWCA International Conference in Honolulu. It continues to build bridges across our communities as EWC has always done.
Bridge programs and events that followed the conference to keep the connection and learning going were:
Gen2 Leadership in a Time of Change – July 28-30
The second annual EWC Leadership Program summit was open to all alumni and public and featured peer-to-peer learning and professional development in related themes: Mis/disinformation in the Media, Climate Change, and Inclusive Leadership. Click on the detailed schedule guide for more information about all the sessions and speakers. The summit included session #2 of the Mis/Disinformation in the Media Certificate.
Talent Show & Zoom-a-Thon – August 6
Alumni shared their talent, skill, and artistry with the EWC community. This event was live streamed on YouTube and mirrored the popular talent show at our international conferences. It also helped raise support for Center programs and scholarships, such as the Gordon and Milly Ring Endowed Scholarship Fund. All were invited to come to watch, share and support!
