A workshop for K-12 teachers will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, 5:30-8:30pm and Saturday, Nov. 3, 8:30am-5:30pm at East-West Center, John A. Burns Hall. 

Following the theme, Cultural Legacies of Hawai‘i, programming will include: presentations by practitioners/scholars; curriculum lessons; a guided East-West Center Gallery tour; a performance-demonstration; and a historical/cultural fieldtrip of Chinatown. The workshop is connected thematically to the current East-West Center Gallery Exhibition: “Capturing a Legacy: Four Generations of Nepalese Photographers.” The exhibit tells the story of the legacy of the Chitrakar family as artists and visual documentarians, who have captured key moments in Nepal’s history through the lens of four generations of photographers.
