The Professional Development Program is leading a capacity building training for the U.S. Army to provide international and civilian perspectives on Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief. The workshop, held February 3-5, 2020 at the Imin Conference Center. is part of a larger three-week Defense Support to Civil Authorities under the U.S. Army Regional Leader Development Program-Pacific. The 28 participants, a mix of senior enlisted and junior officers (O2-O4). have been competitively selected to prepare them for more senior leadership in the INDOPACOM region. Through participation in this course, they will understand how to productively work with community and government organizations in a range of scenarios - including humanitarian aid and disaster relief.
