Kate Klein is a Pacific Research Intern at the at the Pacific Islands Development Program (PIDP) and is pursuing a dual BA/MA degree in Pacific Island Studies. She is completing her undergraduate capstone project in conjunction with the Pacific Islands Report (PIR). She is working on a paper entitled “How Journalism has contributed to the wider discussion of women's rights in Melanesia,” and has been working alongside Keoni Williams, PIDP Information & Publications Officer, to look through PIR archives. Kate will be using her experiences with PIDP and PIR to further understand the correlation between journalism and activism.
