Preferential accommodation rates are being offered to all registered participants and guests of the 2022 EWC International Media Conference. Reservations are subject to space availability. All reservations must be made directly with the hotels. Please follow the specific registration procedures for the accommodations you select.

Please note that the accommodations listed are only suggestions. You are welcome to find a hotel on your own. Search for hotels near the Hawai'i Convention Center and East-West Center.

Transportation between the suggested hotels and the conference venue will be provided once in the morning and at the end of each day. If the hotel you select is not near the conference venue and not one of the suggested accommodations listed, you will need to make your own transportation arrangements to and from the conference venue.

 


EAST-WEST CENTER HOUSING - LINCOLN HALL

Note: Lincoln Hall will begin accepting reservations on March 1, 2022. Space is limited!

Lincoln Hall apartments are furnished with a desk, dresser, chair, 1-double bed, television, telephone, study lamp, closet space, hangers, ceiling fan, clock radio and small refrigerator. Linen, bedding (including pillow, blanket, bedspread, two sheets, and a pillowslip), towels and soap are provided. Rooms are cleaned and linen is exchanged weekly. All apartments have cable TV, telephone service, broadband internet connectivity and private bathroom/toilet facilities. Coin operated laundry machines, a microwave oven and a soft drink machine are available in the basement of Lincoln Hall.

Check-in time is 2:00pm and check-out time is 10:00am. If the room is ready there is flexibility on the check-in time. If the room is not ready, you may leave your bags with the front desk and come back to check in later. If you check out later than the 10:00 a.m. check-out time, you may be charged for an additional night. If you arrive at night or early morning between 8:00pm and 8:00am, ask the taxi driver to first stop at Hale Mānoa where there is a 24-hour front desk, so that you can obtain your key to Lincoln Hall. The key will open the side entrance to Lincoln Hall and the door to your room.

For reservations, please complete the Housing Visitor Request Form and email it to [email protected]. In your email, please indicate that you will be attending the EWC International Media Conference. You MUST register for the conference first in order to receive the EWC Housing rates listed below.

Tips for completing the form:

  • For Requester Status, please check “EWC participant/resident.”
  • Please electronically sign the bottom Requester’s Signature field.

  • Deluxe Quad (maximum 4 persons) - Four individual bedrooms (one guest per room) with shared bathroom facilities in the unit - US$200
  • Quad (maximum 4 persons) - Two shared bedrooms (2 guests per room) with shared bathroom facilities in the unit - US$150
  • Suite (maximum 2 persons) - Two individual bedrooms (one guest per room) with shared bathroom facilities in the unit - US$122
  • Single Suite (maximum 1 person) - Individual bedroom with private bathroom - US$72

Purchase of a meal plan is required for each night of stay at UH Conference HousingParticipation in the meal plan program is mandatory for all Conference Housing Guests. Meals can be used at any time during the duration of your stay with Conference Housing. Take-out meal options are also available.

  • Two meals/day - US$22 per person
  • Three meals/day - US$27.50 per person

Accepted Methods of Payment

  • Credit card: a Conference Housing Credit Card Payment Form with the cardholder's original signature must be completed and faxed to the UH Student Housing Services Office: (808) 956-5995. The office will convey a receipt of your payment via email.
  • Check: personal checks or group/organization checks should be made payable to University of Hawaii.
  • Money Order: International Postal Money Order. Note: This is the most common method of payment from international groups and/or individuals.
  • Cash: cash is accepted as payment for arrangements or changes made immediately prior to check-in. Cash payments must be made in person at the Student Housing Services Cashiers Office.

Guests are required to follow payment terms and deadlines stated in their contract. Full payment prior to check-in is required.

Located in the heart of Honolulu, the Waikīkī Vista Student Residences offers a safe and affordable living environment that is only a short walk from Waikīkī. Rates are based per person and include all taxes.

Amenities include: private bathrooms; air conditioning; mini-refrigerator and microwave.

Please note that these rates are based on availability. Payment is requested in advance. Unfortunately, short term stays are non-refundable and unable to be cancelled once reserved.
