From June 13-15, 2022 in Kolkata, India, 20 undergrad students from India, Nepal, and Indonesia convened to brainstorm about an Indo-Pacific that is open, connected, prosperous, resilient, and secure. The two-day in-person program marked the final leg of the US Indo-Pacific Statecraft Matters for South and Southeast Asia (UMSS) project implemented in partnership with the US Consulate Kolkata. The exchange program included panel discussions, diplomatic simulation by students, speakers from U.S. Embassy New Delhi, USAID, and Observer Research Foundation think tank.
